  3. Drink Tea – Tea (especially green tea) has a multitude of benefits, one being weight loss.  Like coffee, it has a massive number of antioxidants which can help towards weight loss. Remember, try not to add sugar or any other ingredients.
  4. Eat fruit and vegetables – Fruit and vegetables are great for you, taste great and are extraordinarily effective for weight loss. For the most part they contain very few calories but a lot of fiber.  They have a large water content which makes them very filling.  Numerous studies show that people who eat them tend to weigh less. Also, with green leaf vegetables, you can eat as much as you want will little to no effect on your waste.  You can munch all day on salads, and you will be doing yourself a weight loss favour!
  5. Eat Protein – Protein is excellent for losing weight.  High protein diets are excellent in boosting metabolism and can take many calories off your daily food intake. Protein also makes you feel full which can reduce your hunger thoughts about food.  This can be a simple way to help losing weight.
  6. Use Smaller Plates – Studies have shown that people eating from smaller plates automatically eat fewer calories.  Also try and exercise some portion control.  Portion control basically means eating less.  Sometimes counting calories can help. Watching the number of calories of foods, you eat is a great way to get guidance on foods that have more calories than others. Another method is to take pictures of meals – this gives you an idea of what you are consuming. Anything that helps you to be aware of what you are eating can be beneficial.
  7. Keep the right food around – Having the right foods around you can help you eat right!  Try to only buy items from the outside rows of supermarkets – the healthy wholesome foods such as the fruit, vegetables, salads, meats and eggs.  Spicy food is also great. You tend to eat less if the food is spicy. Also, chilies contain capsaicin, a spicy compound that can boost metabolism and reduce your appetite slightly.
  8. Exercise – Walk, Run, Swim or do anything that creates a sweat. 30 minutes exercise a day is an excellent way to lose weight. Do what ever exercise you can – it doesn’t matter which one, if you do it.  Aerobic exercise helps speed up your metabolism and help you lose weight.
  9. Sleep – Get a good night sleep.  Your body works very hard at night. The better you sleep, the better your body works.  Lack of sleep is one of the biggest contributors towards putting on weight
